Jerry Lane

HAZELWOOD - Walter William "Jerry" Lane, 61, formerly of Essex, died March 14, 2003, at his home.

Born Feb. 17, 1942, in Essex, son of the late J.B. and Ruble Snider Lane, he was of the Baptist belief. He retired from Ford Motor Company in Hazelwood and served with the National Guard.

Survivors include: one brother, Rick Lane of Essex; three sisters, LaNeal Weidenbenner of Belleville, Ill., and Shelba Mofield and Hazel Mouser of Dexter; and several nieces and nephews.

Services were conducted at 10 a.m. today at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter with the Rev. Phil Warren officiating.

Burial followed in the Dexter Cemetery.

Pallbearers were his nephews: Chris Mofield, Jeff Weidenbenner, Jon Weidenbenner, Eric Mouser, Kendal Mouser and Corey Mouser.
