Estes takes first in BassBuster Tourney

KENTUCKY LAKE, Ky. -- The Bootheel BassBusters held their ninth tournament of the year on October 8th on Kentucky Lake out of KenLake Marina.

Mike Estes won the tournament with five fish weighing 12 lbs. 13 oz. Leon Miller was second with three fish weighing 7 lbs. 4 oz. and also won the "Lucky Drawing."

Mitch Allen was third with two fish weighing 3 lbs.12 oz.

Mike Estes and Leon Miller shared big bass honors with each catching a 3 lb. 1 oz. fish.

The fish were in specific locations and contestants noted that if you did not find the right spots, fishing was very tough.

Mitch Allen moved into the lead in the Angler-of-the-Year race with 1,342 points. Ty Garrett is second with 1,293 points and Mike Estes is third with 1,244 points.

The club travels to Lake Dardanelle near Russellville, Arkansas for their final tournament of the year, a two-day event on October 27th and 28th.
