CHARLESTON -- A Charleston man was indicted for the March murder of Justin Robinson during the recent term of the Grand Jury in Mississippi County.
Trone Kent, 26, of Charleston was charged with first degree murder, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon, according to Capt. Robert Hearnes of Charleston Department of Public Safety.
Robinson, 23, was shot and killed around 2:30 a.m. March 31 at the intersection of West Marshall Street and Locust Street in Charleston.
A warrant was issued for Kent's arrest and served Oct. 10 while in federal custody in Ste. Genevieve on non-related charges. No bond has been set and Kent remains in federal custody in Ste. Genevieve. Hearnes said officials do not yet know when Kent's first court appearance will be.
