Accident investigated

A Sikeston man was injured in a one-vehicle accident Monday afternoon on U.S. 61, one mile south of Sikeston. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol the accident occurred at 2:45 p.m. when Antionio Applewhite, 25, was passing on the right shoulder, lost control of the northbound vehicle he was driving and overturned in a field.
