MATTHEWS -- Mr. and Mrs. Glen Schuerenberg were guests of honor at a surprise golden anniversary dinner Dec. 4. The celebration was hosted by their children and grandchildren.
Glen Schuerenberg and Peggy Myrick were married Dec. 4, 1954, in rural Matthews at the home of the bride's parents, the late Rev. and Mrs. Raymond Myrick.
The couple are the parents of Denny Schuerenberg and his wife, Pat, and Sidney Schuerenberg, all of Matthews; the grandparents of Jason Schuerenberg and his wife, Heather, of Matthews and Christina Schuerenberg Gadberry and her friend, Chris Hart, of Sikeston; and great-grandparents of Wade Gadberry and Tesla Gadberry of Sikeston. They also have a special niece and her family, Pam Colbert and husband, Dave, of Matthews and their sons, Dustin Colbert of Jefferson City and Dale Colbert of the U.S. Navy, who was unable to attend.
