BLOOMFIELD -- Leo Joseph Lucas Sr., 88, died June 9, 2004, at the Beverly Health and Rehabilitation Center in Bloomfield.
Born July 10, 1915, in Wild Rose, Wis., son of the late George Lucas, he was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dexter.
On Aug. 20, 1938, in Chicago, Ill., he married Rose Ann Kuhns who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son, Leo Joseph Lucas Jr. of Chicago; two daughters, Bernadette Fuwell of Bloomfield and Bernadine Willard of Chicago; one brother, Georgie Lucas of Chicago; two sisters, names unavailable; and 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, one sister and one grandchild.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter with a prayer service beginning at 7 p.m.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. David Dohoghn officiating.
Burial will follow in the Essex Cemetery.
