Mary Jones

BERTRAND -- Mary Leanne Jones, age 46, died at 6:50 p.m. Wednesday, June 9, 2004, at her residence.

She was born Oct. 27, 1957, in Cairo, Ill., to Lawrence and Loretta Carr Gier of Charleston. She lived in Bertrand most of her life, where she was employed as a waitress at Baker's Restaurant.

On June 19, 1976, she married Clarence Jones who survives of the home.

Also surviving are her mother, Loretta Gier of Charleston; one daughter, Dena Linhorst of St. Ann; two brothers, Larry Gier of Fenton and Dan Gier of Charleston; and one sister, Maureen Johnson of Troutdale, Va.

Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. Saturday, June 12, 2004, until the funeral hour at 11 a.m. at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Monsignor Mike Swalina, pastor of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Poplar Bluff, will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Calvary Cemetery at Charleston.

Pallbearers will be: Larry Gier, Dan Gier, Bryan Gier, John Cribbs, Rocky Allcock and John Skelton.
