CHARLESTON -- An area man was sentenced to life in prison Tuesday after a shooting in March of 2001.

According to Sikeston Department of Public Safety Director Drew Juden, Louis Mosby was sentenced for the robbery and shooting of David Holmes at Security Locksmith at 133 W. Malone in Sikeston on March 31, 2001.

Judge David Dolan sentenced Mosby to life in prison on one count of first degree assault and ten years for armed criminal action.
