CHAFFEE -- The 2002 Red Devils Baseball Classic and Lady Devils Softball Classic have been rescheduled for this weekend at Chaffee.

The two tournaments were to be played last weekend, but were postponed due to rain. Along with the new dates also comes a new look for both tournaments. In the baseball tournament, New Madrid County Central and Senath-Hornersville were replaced with Woodland and Notre Dame.

At Chaffee, the Red Devils will face Perryville on Friday at 3:30. Dexter will play Oran at 5:54, followed by Woodland versus Shawnee, Ill., at 8 p.m.

Scott City and Notre Dame will tangle at Scott City on Friday at 4:15 p.m. in another first round game.

From that point, all games in the winner's bracket will be played at Chaffee and all the loser's bracket games will be at Scott City.

On the other side, the softball tournament has gone from an eight-team tournament to just a four-team event.

Kelly, East Prairie, NMCC, and Dexter all dropped out for various reasons, leaving just Advance, Scott City, Chaffee and Delta.

Advance will face Scott City in the first round while Chaffee plays Delta. Both games will be at 4 p.m., followed by the championship and the third place game at 6 p.m.
