ANNISTON -- Ray Hatton, 65, died at 9:10 p.m. May 16, 2005, at John Cochran VA Medical Center in St. Louis.

Born June 15, 1939, to the late James "Nig" and Mildred Husk, he lived most of his life in Mississippi County and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Survivors include: one daughter, Georgia Smith of East Prairie; two sons and daughters-in-law, Billy and Loretta Hatton of East Prairie and Eric and Karleen Hatton of Washington, Ill.; and eight grandchildren, Caleb Hatton, Jordan Williams, Rebecca Hatton, Cashet and Jewell Smith of East Prairie and Kallie, Olivia and Amelia Hatton of Washington.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie where services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday. Don Campbell and Steve Johnson will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Anniston Cemetery.
