EAST PRAIRIE - Charles T. "Tommy" Culp, 74, died at 7:10 a.m. May 25, 2004, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born Sept. 6, 1929, in East Prairie, son of the late Carel and Vivian Upton Culp, he lived in East Prairie his entire life where he was a member of the Church of God. A U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War, he retired as a truck driver for Farm products and was a member of Charleston VFW Post 4294.

On March 20, 1959, he married Bernice Nolen who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one son, William L. "Bill" Culp of Jefferson City; one daughter, Robin Culp of East Prairie; one sister, Winifred Hathcock of East Prairie; six grandchildren, Kristin Williams, Joshua Shoffner, Libbi Shoffner, Mari Shoffner, Hailey Culp and Sara Beth Culp; one niece, Carol Lee Morris of East Prairie; one great-nephew, Mark Morris of Cape Girardeau; and one great-niece, Laura Morris Bixler of Matthews.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.

Visitation will continue from 10 a.m. Thursday until service time at 11 a.m. at the Church of God in East Prairie. The Rev. Rob Kespelher, pastor, will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie.

Pallbearers will be: Sam Barker, Kelly Barker, Rob Barker, Jim Aters, Robert Jackson, Steve Jackson and Gary Davis.
