CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Betty Lou Wiggins, 50, formerly of Sikeston, died Nov. 15, 2004, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau due to an extended illness.

Born Feb. 28, 1954, in Sikeston, daughter of Willie Mae Wiggins of Sikeston and the late Pluitt Wiggins, she was a graduate of Sikeston High School. She was a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as choir director.

In addition to her mother, survivors include: four brothers, Gary Wiggins, Louis Wiggins, Jim Wiggins and Fred Wiggins of Sikeston; and three sisters, Juanita Pearson, Dorothy Thornton and Barbara Thompson of Sikeston.

One sister, Gloria Mills, also preceded her in death.

Memorial services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Thursday at St. John Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Chester Yarber officiating.

Williams Funeral Home of Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.
