MATTHEWS -- Vivian Beard of Matthews along with Clyde and Joanne Shubert of Okawville, Ill., have announced the engagement of their children, Michele Beard and Lucas Shubert. Beard is also the daughter of the late Charles Beard.
A 1992 graduate of Sikeston Senior High School and a 2007 graduate of Southeast Missouri State University, the future bride is employed by the Sikeston R-6 School District.
The prospective bridegroom is a 1999 graduate of Okawville High School and a 2004 graduate of Western Illinois University in McComb, Ill. He is employed at WMIX Radio of Mount Vernon, Ill.
Plans are being finalized for a June 21 wedding at St. Anthony's Church in Lively Gove.
