A job well done
I am certainly in complete agreement with the recently published letter from Judy Bowman, expressing appreciation to the members of Artrain USA, the Steering Committee members for all their time, efforts and work toward making the visit of the Artrain a reality. There was, however, a grateful acknowledgement not included in that letter that needs to be made, and that is to Judy Bowman.
Judy devoted months of time and effort visiting Sikeston and other area schools, arranging and scheduling visits for two days devoted to educational tours. Those two days alone, Judy devoted 12- and 14-hour days to make possible visits to the Depot and Artrain of 1,200-plus students, along with teachers, aides, principals and parents serving as adult supervisors - truly a logistical feat!
This was just one of the many projects and exhibits at the Depot the past three years which Judy has made possible and directed, for which she deserves an enormous vote thanks! The Depot is practically a full-time job (an unpaid one) for Judy, and the Sikeston Cultural Development Corporation and the community owe her a huge bouquet of thanks for all her time and efforts!
Sincerely,
Marilyn L. Grant
