CHARLESTON - A jury found a Sikeston man guilty of robbing a Sikeston restaurant.
In a trial conducted Monday in Mississippi County, Eddie Taylor was found guilty of the Class A felony of robbery and of armed criminal action in connection with the robbery at Wendy's on Aug. 24, 2000. Taylor was charged with forcibly taking money from the restaurant while displaying what appeared to be a weapon.
It took the jury just over an hour to find Taylor guilty following the day-long presentation of the evidence. Judge Lynn Brown, who presided over the case, ordered a pre-sentence investigation prior to sentencing which is set for March 20.
