POPLAR BLUFF - Flossie Mae Shoffner, 78, formerly of New Madrid, died Sept. 24, 2002, at Lucy Lee Hospital in Poplar Bluff.
Born Dec. 26, 1923, in Ridgely, Tenn., daughter of the late George and Victoria Palmer Ivory, she lived in Missouri for more than 60 years and was of the Baptist belief.
Her husband, Benny Shoffner, preceded her in death.
Survivors include: three sons, Willie Shoffner of Poplar Bluff and Charles and Maroney Shoffner of Sikeston; two sisters, Jearline Jackson of Poplar Bluff and Mary Shoffner of Williamsville; one brother, Neal Ivory of Detroit, Mich.; and 15 grandchildren and several great- and great-great-grandchildren.
Seven children and two sisters also preceded her in death.
Visitation is from noon Saturday until service time at 1 p.m. at Travelers Rest Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. Germaine Carter will officiate.
Burial will follow in Sunset of Memories Cemetery at Sikeston.
Williams-Farr and Purnell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
