Elzie Cashon

JEFFERSON City - Elzie Cashon, 93, formerly of Sikeston, Mo., died May 2, 2002, at the Westphalia Retirement Center.

Born Feb. 8, 1909, in Wainwright, Okla., son of the late Alvin and Gertrude Cashon, he attended Haskell (Oklahoma) High School and worked most of his adult life for Texas Eastern Transmission Corporation in Oran. He retired in 1974 and lived in Cape Girardeau until 1987.

Survivors include: one son, Alvin Cashon of Las Vegas, Nev.; one daughter, Marilyn Cashon of Jefferson City; one brother, Bill Cashon of Fort Worth, Texas; three sisters, Ludean Walters of Haskell, Irene Pate of Guthrie, Okla., and Jane Joyce Brown of Gainsville, Texas; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, Gary Cashon.

Services were conducted at 10:30 a.m. today at the Dowdy Funeral Home in Haskell with Harry Fitzgerald officiating.

Burial will follow in the Haskell Memorial Cemetery.
