SIKESTON - Opal Lee Hamlin Maack, 89, died at 8:55 a.m. March 19, 2002, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

Born Aug. 16, 1912, in Parma, daughter of the late William L. and Nannie Jane Barker Smith, she worked for the Foster Grandparents Program and was a member of the Vanduser Baptist Church.

On Aug. 15, 1930, at Bloomfield, she married Thomas Hamlin who preceded her in death on Dec. 1, 1980.

Survivors include: two daughters, Wanda Hamlin and Faye Hart of Sikeston; one brother, Lloyd Smith of Rector, Ark.; two sisters, Ruth Evans of Oran and Louise Wilson of Okeechobee, Fla.; and five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

One son, one daughter, three brothers and three sisters also preceded her in death.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, where services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Friday. The Rev. Glenn Rogers, pastor of Vanduser Baptist Church, will officiate.

Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens near Morley.
