Ella Skinner

KEVIL, Ky. - Ella Gertrude Skinner, 88, died at 2:25 a.m. Nov. 5, 2001, at the Life Care Center in LaCenter.

Born May 6, 1913, at Barlow, daughter of the late W.D. and Ella Medlin Terrell, she had lived in Anniston for several years and was a member of the Old Bethel Baptist Church.

In 1930, she married James D. Skinner who preceded her in death in 1988.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Ed Skinner; one daughter, Ruth Ellen Crenshaw; three brothers; and three sisters.

Survivors include: five sons, David Skinner of Paducah, Ky., Joe Skinner and Donnie Skinner of Kevil, Russ Skinner of Sikeston and Mike Skinner of Mayfield; two daughters, Lenora Hamm and Barbra Chillcutt of Ellsinore; one sister, Martha Forest of Clearwater; and 31 grandchildren and 51 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. Tuesday at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston, Mo., where services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Kelley Grubbs, pastor of Murray Lane Baptist Church in Sikeston, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Jason Skinner, Russell Skinner, Mark Skinner, David Skinner, Jim Skinner and Berry Newton.
