DELTA -- Top-seeded Twin Rivers captured the Delta Tournament Saturday night, defeating the host Lady Bobcats 49-45 in the championship game.

Delta, the third seed, carried a 35-34 lead into the fourth quarter but saw Twin Rivers move ahead on the free-throw shooting of guard Amanda Lance, who finished with 22 points.

Lance sank 9 of 11 free throws in the final period, including a pair of free throws with about two minutes left that put the Lady Royals ahead for good.

Delta (7-4) also shot well from the line in the second half, sinking 8 of 9 attempts.

"We had a good tournament," said Delta coach Randall White. "We beat Dexter and they had a good ballclub. We're making improvements. We have a lot to work on, but I saw a lot of positive things in our tournament."

Rebecca Below led Delta with a game-high 26 points. Dexter defeated St. Vincent 56-38 in the third-place game behind 20 points from Katie Dunlap. Chelsey Brown led the Squaws with 10 points.

Oran won the consolation contest 46-27 over Chaffee. Maria Eftink paced Oran with 12 points and Courtney Fowler added 10.
