JACKSON - The Sikeston freshman basketball team lost 50-35 to Dexter on Wednesday in the Jackson Tournament.

Sikeston led 8-5 after one quarter but the Bearcats bounced back to take a 24-20 lead at the half. Dexter extended the lead to 41-26 entering the fourth quarter.

Sikeston got 11 points out of Felante Larry and six points out of Tyler Woodson.

Other scorers for the Bulldogs were Marcos McCauley (5), Johnny Bland (4), Brandon Williams (4), Josh Alvarado (3) and Matt Limbaugh (2).

Dexter was led by Elfrink and Roberts with 15 points each.

Sikeston's freshman team is now 3-6. They will play Twin Rivers today at 6 p.m. in the tournament.
