John Doll

SCOTT CITY - John C. Doll, 89, died at 2:25 p.m. Dec. 30, 2001, at the Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.

Born Oct. 30, 1912, in Kaskaskia, Ill., son of the late Carl and Mary Lusk Doll, he was a plasterer for the Drury Company in Cape Girardeau. He served with the 1st Infantry of the U.S. Army during World War II and was of the Catholic belief.

His wife, Lottie McDaniel Doll, preceded him in death.

He was also preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City, where services will be conducted at 7 p.m. with the Rev. David Coon, officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis County.
