HOWARDVILLE - Willie B. "Sonny" Perry, 68, died Dec. 21, 2001, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
Born Jan. 2, 1933, in Memphis, Tenn., son of the late Joe and Quincy Warr Perry, he lived in Louisville, Ky, where he was raised by his aunt, Cora Williams. A U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, he retired in 1993 from Noranda Aluminum, after 24 years of service and was of the Baptist belief.
Survivors include: three sons, Michael Perry Bishop of Fort Wayne, Ind., Lynn Perry of Kennesaw, Ga., and Wendell Perry of Chula Vista, Calif.; one daughter, Paula Newson of New Madrid; 10 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Alma Brown of Howardville.
Friends may call from noon Saturday until service time at 1 p.m. at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Lilbourn. The Rev. Ernest Willis, pastor, will officiate.
The Missouri Military Funeral Honors Program will conduct military graveside rites at the Evergreen Cemetery in New Madrid.
