CHAFFEE - Mary Marcella Elledge, 72, died at 1:30 p.m. Dec. 1, 2002, at her home.
Born June 2, 1930, in St. Louis, daughter of the late James and Minnie Ditterline Simmons, she had worked as a machine operator for Carr Textiles in Chaffee, had been a clerk for Dollar General in Chaffee and retired as a machine operator from Columbia Sportswear in Chaffee. She was of the Baptist belief.
In 1946, she married Virgle Wicker who preceded her in death.
On April 13, 1969, she married Paul "Pete" Elledge who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: four daughters, Naomi Whitlock of Chaffee, Kay Seyer and Debbie Mowery of Jackson and Judy DeMoro of Nixa; two stepsons, Mike Elledge of Port Charlotte, Fla., and Doyle Elledge of Crestview, Fla.; one brother, Paul Simmons of Oran; one sister, Virginia Dennis of Chaffee; and 26 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were one son, one daughter, two brothers and three grandsons.
Visitation begins at 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, where services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Billy Anders will officiate. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens near Morley.
Pallbearers will be: Shawn Motes, Paul Whitlock, Freddie Wicker, Jeremy DeMoro, Troy Coleman, Nathan Mowery and Robert Whitlock.
