NEW MADRID - Hal E. Hunter III of New Madrid and Carole Hunter of Cape Canaveral, Fla., have announced the engagement of their daughter, Colleen Lyn, to David Blake Pearson, son of David and Diane Pearson of Sikeston.
The future bride graduated in 1988 from New Madrid County Central High School. She graduated in 1992 with a bachelor of science degree in biology from the University of Missouri-Columbia and in 1999 from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine, where she earned her M.D. degree. Hunter is employed by First Choice Family Medicine in Sikeston.
The prospective bridegroom graduated in 1987 from New Madrid County Central High School. He graduated in 1992 with a bachelor of arts degree in political science and received his juris doctorate in 1996 from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law. He is employed by the Ottinger and Lawrence Law Firm in Sikeston.
Wedding plans are being finalized for a Sept. 28 ceremony.
