McDowell, Legion beats Jaycees

SIKESTON -- The Sikeston Area Youth League Baseball was back in action on Tuesday night. Results from just one game were turned from the south set of fields.

NATIONAL LEAGUE

Andrew McDowell went 3-for-3, leading the American Legion to a 12-5 win over the Jaycees on Tuesday.

McDowell also pitched all four innings, allowing four walks with five strikeouts.

For the Jaycees, Jamie Milam and Ben Freed were both 2-for-2. Jamie Kindle, Darin Dicus and Gabriel McClung all pitched in the loss.

JUNIOR BABE RUTH

Ramey was 3-for-3 and Brandon Redden was 2-for-2, leading DeWitt to an 8-7 victory on Tuesday.

Ferrell and Kimball both pitched for DeWitt, allowing a total of nine hits and five walks with four strikeouts.

For Market Place, Caleb McClellan was 2-for-3 and Doug Brashears was 2-for-2.

Dallas Tew and Jacob Vanpool both pitched in the loss. US Bank 4, KSIM 3

Josh Jackson tallied nine strikeouts, leading US Banks to a 4-3 win over KSIM.

In six innings, Jackson gave up three runs on six hits and two walks.

He was also 4-for-4 at the plate, as was teammate Cody Anderson.

For KSIM, Scott Gardner was 3-for-3 and Trey Glaus was 2-for-3. Garrett Limbaugh and Trey Glaus both pitched in the loss. Elks 8, Noranda 1

Jerod Scott and Michael Sansagraw were both 3-for-3 with one RBI in the Elks' 8-1 victory. Chris Matthews also provided a hit.

Scott and Chris Carnell both pitched, allowing a combined four hits and three walks with six strikeouts.

For Noranda, Deere and Bell were both 2-for-3.

Bell and Rushing both pitched in the loss.

Tew and McClellan both pitched in the win, allowing a total of 11 hits and three walks with nine strikeouts.

At the plate, Dillender was 2-for-3 and McClellon was 2-for-2. For First National, Bizzell was 1-for-3 and Strick Green was 2-for-3. Strick Green and Billie Green both pitched in the loss.
