Michael Haney

CHARLESTON - Michael Alexander Haney, 49, died at 10:30 a.m. April 8, 2003, at his home.

Born Feb. 17, 1954, in East Prairie, son of Dan and Rachel Slaughter Haney of Charleston, he lived in Mississippi County most of his life. He was a horse trainer and member of St. Henry Catholic Church in Charleston.

Survivors in addition to his parents include: one brother, Randy Haney of Charleston; and three nephews and two nieces.

Visitation begins at 7 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Henry Catholic Church.

Burial will follow in the IOOF Cemetery near Charleston.
