Stallings' three hits propel Jim Wilson to 11-3 win

SIKESTON -- Results of late Monday and Tuesday's Sikeston Area Youth Baseball games were as follows.

ROOKIE LEAGUE

Jim Wilson vaulted to a 7-0 lead, then coasted to its win over First Midwest.

Ben Stallings led Jim Wilson with three hits, while teammates Lucas Williams, Kaleb Newton, James Hawkins and Zach Sims added two hits apiece.

Caleb Dannenmueller had two hits, including a home run, for First Midwest. Lane Gordon and Annie Ramey also collected two hits apiece.

First Midwest turned a double play in the third.

Doug Still homered twice and Graison Calbert once to spark Ponder.

Dylan Carroll, Adam Kennard, Still and Colbert each had two hits.

For Irrigation Central, Jackson Alvarez and Brandon Flippo went 3-for-3, while Taylor Pyland and Dilan Rucker added two hits each.

Blanchard broke a 5-5 tie with four runs in the sixth, then held on for the one-run win.

Gavin O'Brien led Blanchard with three hits, including a home run. Layton Jones had two hits, while also hitting a home run. Blake Below and Wesley Shaw chipped in with two hits apiece.

Austin Erwin (3-for-3) pounded two home runs for Silver and Zach Harrison (3-for-3) had one.

Ponder halted a late Jim Wilson rally just in time to clinch the win.

Zac Stinnett and Adam Kennard had three hits each for Ponder. One of Kennard's hits was a home run.

Caleb Hampton, Lucas Williams and Kaleb Newton had three hits each for Jim Wilson.

Ferguson squeezed home a last-inning run to top Irrigation Central.

Austin Hay went 4-for-4 with a triple. Teammates Jarrett Sandlin (3-for-3) homered, Tyler McClinton (3-for-3) ripped two triples and Mason Walker also went 3-for-3 to lead Ferguson.

Dilan Rucker had three hits in three trips for Irrigation Central.

In a slugfest, Seth Ressel, Colton Black and Brandon Housman rapped three hits for Randy's and Kevin Jobe had two, including a triple.

D & S got three hits each from Austin Bowman, Seth Williams, Tyler Kolwyck and Gabe Wheeler. Aaron Neal clubbed two triples; Bowman, Williams and Kolwyck had a triple apiece.

MUSIAL LEAGUE

Drew Harper had two hits with a home run and Connor Landers also had two hits for the Standard Democrat.

Taylor Scott led all hitters with three for Kirby's.

AMERICAN LEAGUE

Ryan Vanover outdueled Hunter Williams to pick up the victory.

Jacob Wilson, Nathan Holland, Andrew Hicks and Luke Keefer took turns on the mound for Rotary, while Blake Angle and Ian Householder split the mound duties for the Elks.

NATIONAL LEAGUE

Ben Freed and Cody Rice shared mound duties for Lewis and Andrew McDowell went the distance with 12 strikeouts for American Legion.

Jordan Williams stroked three hits and Tyler Selvig had two for Lewis.

Parker Williams, Ronnie Pyland and Kingston Arthur had two hits apiece for the Legion.

JUNIOR BABE RUTH

Justin Deere tripled in a run, Blair Bohannon and Scott Droddy doubled to lead Noranda.

James Bonner tripled for DeWitt.

Zach Friend picked up the win with relief help from Seth Baker.
