Nona F. Woods

KENNETT - Nona F. Woods, 86, formerly of East Prairie, died Oct. 19, 2003, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born June 23, 1917, in Greenbriar, Ark., daughter of the late Jesse and Rhena Mae Tullos Henderson, she had lived in Mississippi County most of her life moving to Kennett 11 years ago to live with her daughter. She was affiliated with the Methodist church.

In 1938 she married Alfred C. Woods who preceded her in death on Jan. 23, 1992.

Survivors include: six sons, Gary Lee and Billy Carroll Woods of Berkley, Ky., Jackie James Woods of Thermo, Calif., Hulon Darrell Woods of East Prairie, Robert Wayne Woods of Hickman, Ky., and Alfred Royce Woods of Highland, Mich.; three daughters, Bobby Jean Rouse of Kennett, Janice Joyce Martin of Warren, Mich., and Mary Sue Rammal of Pontiac, Mich.; and 22 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.

Two sons, Tony Woods and Larry Woods, preceded her in death.

Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie where services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday. Steve Johnson will officiate.

Burial will follow in the East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
