SIKESTON - Two Sikeston residents and a Morehouse woman were injured in two separate accidents this weekend.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol reports, the first accident occurred at approximately 4:02 p.m. Friday on State Highway 60 at Route FF in New Madrid County when the southbound vehicle driven by Gregory Clark, 27, of Sikeston failed to stop at a stop sign, striking the eastbound vehicle driven by Angelia Thomas, 28, of Morehouse, causing it to overturn.

Thomas was taken by ambulance to Missouri Delta Medical Center for minor injuries.

The second accident happened at about 12:35 a.m. Saturday on State Highway 61 six miles south of Sikeston when Lee Shaw, 43, of Sikeston failed to maintain control of a vehicle and ran off the right side of the roadway.

After leaving the roadway, the vehicle overturned and ejected Shaw who was taken by air ambulance to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau for severe injuries.

Passenger Bevelyn Stewart, 43, also of Sikeston, was taken by ambulance to Missouri Delta Medical Center for severe injuries as well.
