ANNISTON - Della Boyer Tatum, 91, died at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 19, 2005, at her home.

Born March 15, 1913, in Ridgely, Tenn., daughter of the late John and Martha Ellen Barnes Boyer, she was a lifelong resident of Mississippi County and member of the Gravel Ridge Baptist Church.

Her first husband, Samuel Augusta Norville, preceded her in death in 1939.

In 1941, she married James Tatum who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: three daughters, Barbara Rice of Bertrand, Donna Housman of Anniston and Joyce Manker of Benton; and 22 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren.

Also preceding her in death were two sons, Harold Tatum and John Frank "Johnny" Norville; one daughter, Ruth Kerr; and three brothers and two sisters.

Services were conducted Sunday at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston with the Rev. Steve Johnson, pastor of Victory Baptist Church in East Prairie, officiating.

Burial followed in the Anniston Cemetery.

Pallbearers were: Jay Manker, Steve Kerr, Mark Owens, Jason Douglas, Scott Sutton and Randy Shands.
