SIKESTON - Ronald Ervin Williams, 57, formerly of East Prairie, died at 8:50 p.m. Oct. 14, 2003, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Born Jan. 8, 1946, in Mississippi County, son of Alma Doris Edwards Williams of East Prairie and the late Cecil Ray Williams, he lived in Mississippi County most of his life. He was a truck driver for Hall Transport in Charleston and was of the Pentecostal belief.

On Dec. 18, 1973, in Matthews, he married Wanda Sue Miller who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: two sons, Ronald Eugene Williams of Bardwell, Ky., and Leslie Paul Williams Sr. of East Prairie; two daughters, Marilyn Sue Melton of Bardwell and LaShanna Scott of Tampa, Fla.; four brothers, Howard Ray Williams, Larry David Williams and Jerry Don Williams of East Prairie and Charles Orlin Williams of Charleston; one sister, Marilyn McCoy of East Prairie; and 10 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, Billy Ray Williams; and two brothers, Kevin Roy Williams and Cecil Lee Williams.

Visitation begins at 5 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie where services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday. Keith Cook and George White will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie.

Pallbearers will be: Josh Mitchell, Cecil Williams, Jessie Williams, Brent Williams, Bryant Givens and Shawn Carr.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Howard Williams, Jimmy Williams, Larry Michael Williams, J.C. Williams, Jeff Williams, Jerry Williams, Chris Williams Ronnie Tyler Williams and Mike Triplett.
