ZALMA - Carl Charlie Corbin, 91, died Aug. 15, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born Feb. 12, 1912, at Zalma, son of the late Forrest and Cora Cullins Corbin, he was a graduate of Zalma High School and Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau. He had been a teacher and coach at Zalma High School and retired as a director o the Boy Scouts of America. He was a member of Zalma Masonic Lodge 545 AF&AM.

On May 17, 1937, at Pontiac, Mich., he married Odetta Rose, who preceded him in death on March 22, 1999.

Survivors include: two sons, Ron Corbin of Big Spring, Texas, and Gary Corbin of St. Louis; five grandchildren, including Kelle Corbin of Zalma, whom he raised; and eight great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Two sisters also preceded him in death.

Services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance with the Rev. Eldo Eaker officiating.

Burial will follow in the Baker Cemetery at Marble Hill.
