EAST PRAIRIE - Margaret Wilson Trevathan, 98, died at 12:02 a.m. July 27, 2003, at the East Prairie Nursing Center.
Born March 29, 1905, at Pratt, daughter of the late Charles Duffield Wilson Sr. and Rosa May Rice Wilson, she lived in Mississippi County most of her life. She and her husband owned and operated General Stores in East Prairie, Deventer and Wolf Island for many years and she was a member of the Wolf Island Baptist Church.
On Dec. 16, 1928, in Charleston, she married Ira Trevathan who preceded her in death on March 15, 1985.
Four brothers and one sister also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: two sisters, Lucy Wilson of East Prairie and Ella Newton of Murray, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation begins at 6 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday. George White will officiate.
Burial will follow in the IOOF Cemetery near Charleston.
Pallbearers wille be: Garland Wilson, Gary Wilson, Richard Wilson, Don Wilson, S.W. Stamper and Jimmy Redfering.
