Joe Duncan

LILBOURN - Joe Duncan Sr., 75, died July 27, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born Sept. 1, 1927, in Lilbourn, son of the late Ernest Lonnie "Slim" and Effie "Tick" Bodine Duncan, he was a retired electrician. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Lilbourn and of IBEW No. 1 in St. Louis.

On Dec. 23, 1944, he married Dell Anderson who preceded him in death on March 1, 1991.

One sister also preceded him in death.

Survivors include: two sons, Lonnie Joe Duncan Jr. of Houston, Texas, and Jerry Webb Duncan of Lilbourn; one daughter, Joanna Haralson of Wynne, Ark.; and three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation is from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home in Lilbourn.

Services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church in Lilbourn. The Rev. Bill Reid, pastor, will officiate.

Burial will follow in Mounds Park Cemetery near Lilbourn.
