BLYTHEVILLE, Ark. - Thertsie Frazier Jackson, 65, died Aug. 16, 2004, at her home.

Born in Little Rock, daughter of the late Fred and Ethel W. Frazier, she attended Pleasant Grove No. 2 School in Portageville, Mo., and Hayti (Mo.) Central High School. She was a registered nurse for more than 40 years, retiring in 2000 from the Oak Forrest Hospital in Chicago, and was a member of the New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Blytheville.

Her husband, Walter "W.C." Jackson, survives of the home.

Other survivors include: four daughters, Glenda Frazier of Milwaukee, Patricia Treadwell of Blytheville, Maria Wilson of Sikeston, Mo., and Samantha Davis of Chicago; one son, Xavier Matthews of Howardsville, Mo.; nine sisters, Mildred Hopson, Joe Ella Gay and Willie Hemphill of Little Rock, Wakela "Dolly" Shakir of Waukegan, Ill., Doris Works of Houston, Texas, Frances Frazier of Memphis, Tenn., Vannessa Frazier of Howardville, Cynthia Givens of Minneapolis and Hennrietta Frazier of Palm Bay, Fla.; five brothers, Charles Frazier and Russell Frazier of Los Angeles, Fred Frazier of Kankakee, Ill., Thomas Frazier of Little Rock and Vernon Frazier of Morley, Mo.; 15 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Ollie M. Bowman.

Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Blytheville.

Services will be conducted at noon Saturday in the Hayti School Multipurpose Building in Hayti, Mo. The Rev. Darion Thomas will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Hayti Cemetery.

McDonald-Horne Funeral Home of Blytheville is in charge of arrangements.
