SIKESTON - Novell Milani, 82, died at 2:47 a.m. Dec. 23, 2007, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born May 22, 1925, in Union City, Tenn., to the late Carroll J. and Lillie Russom James, she had been employed with Sunline Candy Co. in St. Louis where she was a candy machine operator. She was a member of the Miner Baptist Church and Sikeston Eagles Aries No. 3319.

On June 3, 1945, in Lake City, Ark., she married Lanzo Lizenbeee, who preceded her in death. On June 10, 1972, in St. Louis, she married Sylvio Milani, who also preceded her in death.

One son, Donald Lizenbee; two brothers, Joe James and O.J. James; two sisters, Blondell Battaglia and Dottie Parks; and one granddaughter Angel Christina Schrieber also preceded her in death.

Survivors include: one son, Charles F. "Chuck" Lizenbee of Sikeston; one daughter, Carolyn Schrieber of Sikeston; six brothers, Otis James, J.C. "Sonny" James, A.C. James, Jackie James, Cletus James and Bill James all of Sikeston; two sisters, May Dell Thompson of Sikeston and Bonnie Bracey of Portageville; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; and two very special friends, Wanda Kerley of St. Louis and Miss Donna Smith of Sikeston.

Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. today at Blanchard Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, where services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Mitchell Jackson, pastor of Miner Baptist Church will officiate. He will be assisted by the Rev. Charles Warren, pastor of Sufficient Grace Apostolic Church.

Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie James, Billy James Jr., A.C. James Jr., Michael Lizenbee, Chuck Lizenbee Jr. and Mike Ferguson.
