Catherine Rice

LILBOURN - Catherine Rice, 89, died Nov. 30, 2003, at her home.

Born Jan. 4, 1914, in Cordova, Tenn., daughter of the late Charlie and Estella Wade Powell, she lived in Missouri for more than 40 years and was of the Baptist belief.

On Nov. 30, 1946, in Arkansas, she married Willie Rice who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one son, Randy Avery of Portageville; one daughter, Maxine Moore of Lilbourn; one granddaughter, Jeanette Johnson of Lilbourn; and nieces and nephews.

Visitation is from 10 a.m. Friday until service time at 1 p.m. at Williams-Farr and Purnell Funeral Home in Howardville.

Burial will follow in Simmons Park at Catron.
