CORDOVA, Tenn. - Melvin A. Mydland, 94, died Nov. 27, 2007, at Applingwood Health Care.
A retired manager of a lumber company in Portageville, Mo., he was a member of First Methodist Church in Sikeston, Mo., a graduate of Hortan High School in Kansas and a veteran of the U.S. Army.
His wife, Doris K. Mydland, preceded him in death.
Survivors include: two daughters, Mary Jane Crotty of Bartlett and Janet Ann Baker of Columbia, Miss.; one brother, Toralph Mydland of Independence, Mo.; four grandchildren, Debbie Winberry, Linda Childers, Kathy Parks and David Henson; and seven great-grandchildren, Keith Winberry, Jake Winberry, Kirk Winberry, Samuel Childers, Halle Childers, Hannah Parks and Terry Parks.
Services were conducted today at Maley-Yarbrough Chapel in Covington.
Burial followed in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
