MERRILLVILLE, Ind. - Daniel Wilderness, 42, died June 30, 2005, as a result of a car accident in New Madrid County, Mo.
Born Aug. 20, 1961, in Lilbourn, Mo., to Alexander and Christine Richards Wilderness Sr. of Gary, Ind., he was a construction supervisor for Will's Industry in Gary. A member of the Local 81 Labors Union of Gary, he was a member of the Emmanuel Church of God in Christ in Gary and a member of Cooper's Hunting Club.
Surviving in addition to his parents are his wife, Tawanna Wilderness of the home; three daughters, Danisha, Shiritia and Dantrice Wilderness of Gary; one son, Antawan Wilderness of Atlanta; three stepsons, E.J., Tony and Slick Wilderness of Gary; one sister, Carolyn Wilderness Jones of Merrillville; one brother, Alexander Wilderness Jr. of Gary; and one grandson.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Guy-Allen Funeral Home in Gary. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the St. Homes Church of God in Christ in Gary with Bishop Bobby Warren officiating.
Burial will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Gary.
Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid, Mo., was in charge of local arrangements.
