SIKESTON - Barbara Anita Shaw, 73, died at 5:46 p.m. July 4, 2005, at Missouri Delta Medical Center. Born Oct. 30, 1931, in Caruthersville, daughter of the late Elmer Clinton and Ida Estelle Curtis Hensley, she was a member of Murray Lane Baptist Church and a Sunday school teacher for five years. A past president of the Lady Eagles Auxiliary, she worked for Ferguson Medical Group where she retired several years ago...

SIKESTON - Barbara Anita Shaw, 73, died at 5:46 p.m. July 4, 2005, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

Born Oct. 30, 1931, in Caruthersville, daughter of the late Elmer Clinton and Ida Estelle Curtis Hensley, she was a member of Murray Lane Baptist Church and a Sunday school teacher for five years. A past president of the Lady Eagles Auxiliary, she worked for Ferguson Medical Group where she retired several years ago.

On Nov. 23, 1963, in St. Louis, she married Gene T. Shaw, who survives of the home.

Survivors in addition to her husband include: two sons, Bobby Gene Shaw of Poplar Bluff and William Eugene Shaw of St. Louis; two daughters, Sue Estelle Hill of Wappapello and Anita Renee Wade of Advance; and nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Three brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Kelley Grubbs, pastor of the Murray Lane Baptist Church, will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
