SIKESTON - Sikeston Department of Public Safety Sgt. Drew Juden was recently promoted to the position of training supervisor, DPS Director Dan Hinton announced this week. The DPS has been without a training officer for several years. Although the department has had part-time training officers in the past, Juden holds the distinction of being the first full-time DPS training supervisor.

SIKESTON - Former Sikeston High School basketball player Adam Kineman recently signed a letter of intent to play basketball at Hannibal LaGrange College. Present for the signing were Patti and Don Kineman and Sikeston head coach Fred Johnson.

SIKESTON - Ryan McGee of the Sikeston Sharks competed in the 50m freestyle competition during the 1996 Prelims in Sikeston on Saturday. McGee, who qualified in the 200m freestyle (3:02.15) and the 200m (3:21/

16), will travel to Jackson with other Sikeston teammates to compete in the MWSC Championship on Saturday.
