A ribbon cutting was conducted Oct. 24 to officially open Quilting, Fabric and Crafts, 620 S. Kingshighway in Sikeston. Owned by David and Georgia McAfee of Sikeston, the new business will seek to provide all the sewing and craft needs for Southeast Missouri residents, according to Mrs. McAfee, who added they appreciate the support they have received from area residents since opening on Oct. 15. The business will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday. Pictured holding the ribbon are David McAfee, left, and Pam Tibbs, representing the Sikeston Area Chamber of Commerce as Georgia McAfee prepares to cut the ribbon. Also attending are members of the Bootheel Quilters Guild, friends and family.
