SIKESTON - Ruby Lee Stovall, 78, died at 4:36 p.m. Jan. 2, 2008, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. Born Feb. 7, 1929, at Holland, Ark., to the late J. William and Laura Jane Hearse Potter, she had been a custodian at Sikeston Convalescent Center and Sikeston Public Schools and later worked in the Foster Grandparents Program at Southeast Elementary. SIKESTON - Ruby Lee Stovall, 78, died at 4:36 p.m. Jan. 2, 2008, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born Feb. 7, 1929, at Holland, Ark., to the late J. William and Laura Jane Hearse Potter, she had been a custodian at Sikeston Convalescent Center and Sikeston Public Schools and later worked in the Foster Grandparents Program at Southeast Elementary. She was a member of New Beginnings Fellowship Church.

On Jan. 7, 1949, at Bell City, she married William Calvin Stovall, who preceded her in death on Sept. 5, 1997.

One brother, Curtis Potter; and one sister, Verna Magee, also preceded her in death.

Survivors include: two sons and a daughter-in-law, Calvin "Wayne" and Irene Stovall of Horn Lake, Miss. and Dale Ray Stovall of Sikeston; one daughter and son-in-law, Diana and Larry Traw of Sikeston; one sister, Marie Marshall of Sikeston; and seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. today at Blanchard Funeral Chapel, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Bill Martin, pastor of New Beginnings Fellowship, will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
