BENTON -- Mary Ada Hopper, 87, died at 9:18 a.m. Jan. 1, 2008, at The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
Born Aug. 1, 1920, in Morley, daughter of the late WIlliam A. and Mary M. Capps Beggs, she had been a homemaker. She was a member of the United Baptist Church in Benton and the Daughters of the American Revolution.
In 1939, she married Joe Willard "Bill" Hopper, who died Jan. 4, 2001.
One daughter, eight brothers and two sisters also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: one son, Larry Hopper of Benton; one daughter, Mary Beth McIntosh of Benton; and one sister, Dorothy Ervin of Arnold.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. tonight at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Benton, where services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday. The Revs. Dale Huff and Dennis Lowe will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Old Morley Cemetery.
