MORLEY -- Carl David "Porky" Hopkins, 77, died Nov. 1, 2007, at the Sikeston Convalescent Center in Sikeston.
Born May 23, 1930, in Avert, he was the son of the late Carl and Luella Curd Hopkins.
On Dec. 30, 1950, he married Shirley Sanders who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: three daughters and two sons-in-law, LaVern and Louis Griffin and Brenda and Mike Chasteen of Sikeston and Teresa Tanner of Morley; one sister, Bernice Thompson of St. Louis; four grandchildren, Eric Tanner, Heather Abernathy, Sarah Griffin and Whitney Chasteen; and three great-
grandchildren, Nevin Tanner, Hunter Abernathy and Jaquelynn Abernathy.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Jean Hopkins, Jack Hopkins and Bob Hopkins; and one son-in-law, Jackie Tanner.
Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Friday at the Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday.
Burial will follow in the New Morley Cemetery at Morley.
