GRUBVILLE -- Larry Evans, 61, died Oct. 28, 2007, at Manchester. Born Nov. 8, 1945, at Poplar Bluff, son of Lucille Dodd Evans of Dexter and the late Carl Evans, he was a retired repair man for the Chrysler Corporation of Fenton and a member of the UAW BASS Club. GRUBVILLE -- Larry Evans, 61, died Oct. 28, 2007, at Manchester.

Born Nov. 8, 1945, at Poplar Bluff, son of Lucille Dodd Evans of Dexter and the late Carl Evans, he was a retired repair man for the Chrysler Corporation of Fenton and a member of the UAW BASS Club. He attended the Living Word Baptist Church and was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War.

On Aug. 2, 1968, in Berkley, he married Marla Glenn who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one son, Larry Michael Evans of Lebanon; one daughter, Gina Marie Kahmke of Grubville; two sisters, Pat Evans of Dudley, and Reva Gallup of High Ridge; and six grandchildren.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one son, Jamie Evans.

Graveside memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Caroline Dowdy Cemetery in Dexter with Larry Ward officiating.
