Rubin Hill

LAFORGE - Rubin Hill was born April 26, 1964, in Lilbourn. He was one of eight children born to Rosie Lee Wilderness Hill and Eugene Hill. Five boys and three girls were born to this union.

Rubin attended school at Kewanee and New Madrid High School. He also attended truck driving school in Milllington, Tenn. He was employed as an over-

the-road truck driver for 12 years until his health failed him.

Rubin's father; two brothers, Jacob and Eugene Hill Jr.; and five sisters, Rosie Davis, Alberta Manuel, Hazel Moore, Dorothy Wilderness and Betty Jean Brown preceded him in death.

Rubin departed this life on Oct. 30, 2007, at his home in LaForge. He leaves to cherish his memory, his beautiful, loving and God fearing mother, Mrs. Rosie Lee Hill of the home; four brothers, Joseph Hill of New Madrid, Kelvin Hill of Parma, Jerry Lewis Hill of Carlton, Calif. and James Hill of Milwaukee; five beautiful sisters and brothers-in-law, Lyndora Hughes (Ronnie) of Cape Girardeau, Rose Marie Spicer (Arthur) of St. Louis and Ruthie Phillips and Velma Hill of Chicago; two aunts, Nola Rucker (Melvin) of St. Louis and Georgia Mae King (Eddie) of Chicago; two uncles, Calvin Wilderness and Willie Lewis of St. Louis; three special nieces, Lolita Hill of New Madrid, Shannon Moore (Parnell) of St. Louis and Kateeka Hill of Cape Girardeau; two special great-nieces, Precious and Lyndria Hill; and one special great-nephew, Lorenzo Hill of the home; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Friday at Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid, where services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Frank Wilderness Jr. will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Sandhill Cemetery in New Madrid.
