ORAN - Thelma Cook, 83, died at 1:20 p.m. March 3, 2008, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born Sept. 29, 1924, at Gideon, to the late Frank Lee and Ethel Jordan Vaughn, she was a homemaker and member of Hooe Baptist Church in Oran.
On Dec. 31, 1948, she married Delmar Cleave Cook, who survives.
Other survivors include: one son, Vincent Cook of Scott City; two daughters, Brenda Riley and Sheila Lee of Sikeston; one brother, Stanton Dale Vaughn of Morley; two sisters, Dorlis Young of Oran and Wanda Ogden of Morley; and seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Two sisters preceded her in death.
Visitation is at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran, where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday. The Rev. David Richbourg will officiate.
Burial will follow in the New Morley Cemetery.
