CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Dorothy P. "Dottie" Jungers, 73, died at 6:50 p.m. Sept. 24, 2006, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
Born Nov. 27, 1932, in Bell City, daughter of the late Leonard Lester and Lynn May Jones Workman, she was an admitting clerk at St. Mary's Hospital in St. Louis and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City.
On March 27, 1954, in Cahokia, Ill., she married John Joseph "Jack" Jungers who preceded her in death on Sept. 26, 1991.
One son, Dennis Michael Jungers; one brother, Sonny Workman; one sister, Gail Pickett; and one grandson also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: three sons and two daughters-in-law, Stephen and Carol Jungers of Collinsville, Ill., John Joseph and Barbara Jungers Jr. of Cahokia and Kevin Jungers of Scott City; one daughter, Penny Jungers of Cape Girardeau; one brother, Eddie Workman of Scott City; two sisters, June DeLay of Sikeston and Velda Anderson of Morley; and nine grandchildren and four great-
grandchildren.
Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City with parish prayers at 5:30 p.m.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. David Coon serving as celebrant.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery at Scott City.
